Fire has destroyed part of a school at Orange in the New South Wales Central West, just days before pupils were due to finish classes. Glenroi Heights Public School has been damaged by fire just days before classes are due to finish The library and administration buildings have been affected A crime scene has been established as police investigate the cause  Emergency services were called to Glenroi Heights Public School about 10:30pm on Monday and found a two-storey building alight.  Fire and Rescue New South Wales crews from Orange and Bathurst joined the Rural Fire Service in tackling the blaze, which took five hours to contain. “Firefighters were able to contain it to a single building [and] there were no evacuations from this fire,” Inspector Steve Brown from Fire and Rescue NSW said. Police remain on scene at the school where a crime scene has been established. ( Central West: Brigitte Murphy ) In a statement on social media, Glenroi Heights Public School said it would not be open on Tuesday.  “Learning will be from home while we assess the site and ensure safety,” the school said.  “The library and admin buildings are the only sites that were damaged.” Forensic examination Acting Superintendent Gerard Lawson said a crime scene had been established.  “We will have forensic police come in to determine what was the cause of the fire,” he said.  “At this stage we are treating it as suspicious until we’re proven otherwise.” Acting Superintendent Gerard Lawson says the fire is being treated as suspicious.
