A 75-year-old woman is in a critical condition after rescuers pulled her from the sea off Gran Canaria.
The incident happened at around 3.30 pm yesterday afternoon off the beach at San Augustine in the south of the island.
The victim was tended by members of the Red Cross before the emergency services arrived and stabilised the victim at the scene before rushing her to the University hospital in the island’s capital, Las Palmas where her condition remains critical.
