National Police in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, have arrested three people on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery.
The three face charges connected to an incident that happened a few weeks ago at a nightclub in Calle El Perdón where, according to witnesses, the three gave a severe beating to the victim before robbing her of money and personal belongings.
The victim was also stabbed in the neck resulting in a wound requiring 45 stitches in an emergency operation at the local hospital.
According to a police source, all three have several previous convictions and are being held in custody pending a court appearance.
