Tenerife Work Creation Scheme

January 23, 2013

The Tenerife Cabildo has announced a special action plan aimed at providing employment for people at risk of social exclusion, including those with special needs.

First Vice President and Minister of Welfare and Health, Aurelio Abreu, said so far the scheme had found jobs for around 50 people across the island, adding that it was hoped to increase that number to 100 in the coming weeks and months.

The scheme has a budget of 200,000 euros, which will be shared across the island’s municipalities according to need.
