Legendary seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong is arriving in Tenerife this Sunday with the rest of the Astana team for a week’s training, and what better place  to sharpen up than on the slopes of Mount Teide.
Armstrong, now 37-years-old, has come out of retirement and joins team mate Alberto Contador, 25-year-old winner of the French, Spanish and Italian Tours.
It will be the first time the two have met since Armstrong retired from competition and should be an interesting encounter as the Spaniard, justifiably, considers himself to be the team’s number one rider.
In any event, if you plan on taking a drive up to Mount Teide anytime soon, try to avoid the cyclist labouring up the steep road; he just might be the world’s most famous man on two wheels.

Yeah; he did not have the guts to come over to ride with the tuff guys in Fuerteventura!! He heard of us beforehand!! hehe
