Police from Las Americas have arrested two men, found in possession of 12kg of hashish.
The two men, both Spaniards, have been identified only by their initials, 33-year-old V.D.A.J., and 26-year-old H.F.P.
Police undercover investigations discovered the two men from El Rosario were transferring large amounts of the drug to the tourist areas in the south of the island to be sold in small quantities around the pubs and clubs.
Using an unmarked van, police kept close surveillance on the two men as they plied their trade in Las Americas and as far as Alcalá in Guia de Isora, where the two were arrested.
At the time of their arrest the two men were found to be in possession of 12kg of hashish, 400 euros in cash, and three mobile phones.
Both men were remanded in custody.
