Tenerife’s Cabildo has issued an order banning barbeques and other fires in the island’s recreational areas until further notice.
The ban came into force yesterday due to the high temperatures and Calima which, jointly, make for very dry conditions, greatly increasing the danger of wildfires, particularly in the island’s forested areas.
