The Canary Islands government has declared a state of alert for high temperatures in the archipelago this weekend.
They predict temperatures could reach above 37 degrees.
The government recommends keeping windows and doors closed and says you should avoid going outside if you have respiratory problems.
It also recommends drinking a lot of fluids, avoiding physical activity for the duration of the severe situation, and emphasises you should seek medical attention if you feel unwell.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution, as apart from the heat the haze reduces visibility.
