The Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow warning for rain in the north of the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote from midday Thursday, until midnight.
Worst affected areas in Tenerife are expected to be La Orotava, Vilaflor and much of the north coast, as well as northern Gran Canaria, the whole of Lanzarote and much of La Palma.
The wet weather will be accompanied by strong winds, gusting to gale force at times.
