Local Police in Santa Cruz have questioned a 56-year-old man after he was caught taking photographs of women who were sunbathing topless at Las Teresitas Beach.
Police intervened when the man attempted to flee after being spotted by a group of 20-somethings who realised they were being photographed while sunbathing.
For the moment the police have taken the man’s phone memory card into evidence after finding numerous photos of a similar nature stored on it.
It is unclear whether those photographed without their permission will actually bring charges relating to breach of their ‘honour, image and privacy’ as is their right under Spanish law.
