A man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body on an industrial estate in Gran Canaria.
The Guardia Civil made the arrest after being called to the scene near a night club in Agüimes, in the southeast of the island.
Witnesses have talked of a brawl outside the nightclub, apparently a regular occurrence at weekends.
Police say the victim, a young Colombian man, appears to have died from a severe blow to the head, although they are awaiting the results of an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
