A 45-year-old man, hospitalised on Saturday after falling into a ravine on La Gomera, has died from his injuries.
The victim was taken to the island’s hospital in San Sebastián by helicopter in a critical condition after the accident in Valle Gran Rey at around 7pm Saturday, in which he fell some 70m.
The victim had gone into cardiac arrest and medics, both in the helicopter and at the hospital, battled to revive the man but despite their best efforts he did not recover.
