A 59-year-old fisherman had a lucky escape after being swept into the sea off Gran Canaria.
The man was searching the rocky shoreline at La Garita, Telde, looking for a missing fishing buoy when a large wave swept him into the sea.
Fortunately, other local people close by managed to throw him a buoyancy aid, keeping him afloat until emergency services arrived and managed to pull him to safety.
