Nine illegal immigrants have been taken into custody after coming ashore in a small wooden boat on Gran Canaria at around 10.30pm last night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving a tipoff from a member of the public.
The nine, all male of Sub-Saharan origin, were treated by medics at the scene, before being taken away by the police and are said to be in good health.
