Law enforcement officers are quietly celebrating today after intercepting a massive drugs shipment at sea yesterday.
In a coordinated operation, involving British police, their Spanish counterparts and the Spanish Navy, security forces boarded two yachts belonging to a Bulgarian crime syndicate and seized 500kg of cocaine.
The boats and their crews were escorted to the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where four men were placed under arrest and the boats and their contents impounded.
