Hundreds of people turned out to see three loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) released back into the wild off El Medano beach yesterday.

Island councillor for the environment Ana Lupe Mora explained the creatures were ready to return to their normal habitat after receiving veterinary care in the La Tahonilla Center for Wildlife Recovery.
