The Guardia Civil have arrested a man for stealing copper wiring from streetlamps.
The cheeky thief was caught red handed yesterday morning as he was stripping copper wiring from lampposts on an industrial estate in Fuerteventura.
When police searched the culprit’s vehicle they discovered a whopping 281 kgs of copper.
The man, a resident of Puerto del Rosario, has been detained in custody pending a court appearance.
