A 25-year-old diver was taken to hospital in Puerto de la Cruz this morning.
Emergency services received a call from a local diving school boat just before 11.30 am and were waiting at the Puerto de La Cruz harbour to attend to the diver who was suffering from breathing complications after a dive.
His condition was considered to be serious and so he was transferred by ambulance to Hospiten Bellevue.
