Direct Flights To The Gambia

October 18, 2012

Binter Airways has announced a new service flying directly between Gran Canaria and The Gambia, adding to the company’s fast-expanding network of destinations.

The director of communications for Binter, José Luis Reina, said the new route, due to begin operation in late November, will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

Primarily aimed at the business market, Reina said the service also offered a chance for islanders to visit Africa’s west coast far more quickly and cheaply than before.

At the moment, islanders wishing to visit the Gambia have to make an arduous round trip via Madrid, with all the extra costs and time involved.

A similar route operated by Binter to Casablanca, has not only cut out the need for a round trip via Madrid, but has reduced fares from around 600 euros to 100 euros or less.
