Kevin Viskup who has been the focus of a three-month Interpol kidnapping investigation and world-wide social media appeals has been found safely.

Kevin was found  in Las Chafiras, Tenerife last Saturday with his natural father, Peter Viskup.

The father who is wanted on a American warrant charging him with the federal crime of international parental kidnapping after taking his son out of the United States without legal permission in July, has been taken into custody by the Guardia Civil.

Kevin’s mother, Andrea Cutts, who has legal custody of the boy, and Peter Viskup are natives of Czechoslovakia.

Kevin was born in 2000, but the couple divorced soon after and she later married Creighton Cutts, an American  businessman from Athens. Georgia.

“We want to get him home as quickly as possible, but it’s not an emergency now,” the boy’s stepfather, Creighton Cutts, told a local newspaper.

“Kevin is in protective custody and a judge in Tenerife has signed an order demanding that Kevin be turned back over to his mother, Andrea Cutts, who is travelling to the island,” he said.
