Latest figures from the National Statistics Institute reveal that the Consumer Price Index rose by an average of one per cent in September.
September’s figures show the annual rate up by an average of 3.4 per cent, seven percentage points higher than the previous month.
Figures for the Canary Islands show price rises slightly lower in September that the national average at 0.9 per cent as well as lower year-on-year at 3.3 per cent.
