Why oh why am I not in the least bit surprised. Transito supermarkets must think they have won the lottery if Lidl don´t get built. I just wonder who knows who with all the corrupt goings on. How do these people manage to keep on power?

As a disabled tourist myself ,the lifeguards are a wonderful asset to both Arona Council but the Island of Tenerife.
Arona council should be aware of the amount of money generated by the disabled alone around the area because of the disabled beach ,and the accessibility of the area for the disabled which may now come under threat from their actions .The Lifeguards are not causing these issues this lies firmly at the feet of the Arona Council. They should be ashamed ,the lifeguards provide an excellent service to the disabled and are fantastic ambassadors for Tenerife as a whole in their duties .
Many disabled are helped in to the sea by these lifeguards ,many disabled will no longer be able to access the sea .Lots of the disabled over the years have gained confidence to back into the sea because of the lifeguards who treat the disabled with politeness ,helpfulness and above all care ........MAYOR and Council you should be hanging your heads in shame !
I would love to see the Mayor and councillors go down to the beach and explain themselves in their thoughts of having the right to take these actions and taking this service away from the disabled and other tourists alike

I believe that what the lifeguards are doing can be considered as public service and I think that they should be compensated for it. Perhaps the local government can accommodate them by including them in the payroll. Lifeguard duties are tough and requires risking one's own life to save others.

Very pleased to learn that BA are returning to Gatwick/Tenerife route.
Wouldn't want to travel at 7.10 pm as that is rather late and as it takes about 4 hours to get there plus the time to get luggage and on to resort, would not be arriving until about 1 am!!
