Please may I ask for help in searching for my Grandson`s lost Teddy Bear. He was on holiday from 31st March to 12th April, staying at Hotel Guayarmina, Costa Adeje. The bear went missing from the hotel room, we believe with the laundry. Sadly we have not been able to find him and my Grandson is distraught at the loss of his much loved bear. The bear is approx 14 inches high and wears a green jumper. He is an Irish bear and has a shamrock on his right foot. We are willing to pay a reward of E50 to have him back home. Please can anyone help?

with the economic situation still getting worse more things like this are going to happen as more & more people loose their jobs & find they often have no other option to feed themselves. You only have to look around the streets to see the increased number of people sat on the pavemants or in shop door ways with a hand written note asking for money or food not to mention the number of people doing the same thing at almost every traffic light in Santa Cruz.

This is the sad result of one of the worst benifit systems ever where it is almost impossible to get any assistance, financial or otherwise & will continue to get worse

Great news that tourism is going up so much, but unemployment is going in the same direction. So, if this is the case, as the local Government keep stating, how are the hotels, apartments etc coping with all these extra people? This must mean that businesses are having to run things with 1000's of less staff. Which means a poor standard in all areas of their business. To me, this is a false economy, as guest staying at a hotel, where the standards have fallen will not return. Is this just a 'grab it while you can' mentality or are the businesses worried by employing further staff? Or, are the businesses being greedy, knowing they can get a lot more out of their staff for less money because of the high unemployment? This type of management in the tourist industry will surely backfire on them and they will finish up losing the tourist yet again when things get back to normal in places like Egypt, the Middle East, and all the other countries that have been effected. So, if I were in the tourist trade here on Tenerife, I would want to make doubly sure that my guests had the best holiday possible for them to return year after year, otherwise they will find themselves back to square one with dwindling numbers.

As the south of Tenerife gets better and better regarding the money spent on improving the general looks to it., and also the vast improvements in the construction of garden areas, and laying of better pavings,it is disconcerting to see that the levels of dog poo in these garden, and paved areas is on the increase. So much so that various areas in the Cristianos area have been named dog shit alleys.Surely would it not pay the council to appoint dog wardens(armed with cameras) on a basic wage with powers to issue instant fines for offending owners who blatently allow their dogs to foul and leave the mess.A percentage of the fine could then go to the warden as way to boost their earnings.Whatever the answer is this problem will not go away on its own, along with another two issues being 1 the constant barrage of lucky lucky men who persist in presenting their wares at people whilst they are trying to walk unhindered along the front or even worse still, come in a constant stream whilst holiday makers are trying to eat a meal and have a conversation.2 and finally we must put a stop to all the blanket trip advertizing material that is appearing on every street corner and wall throught the south. This is blatent unadulterated littering. These pamphlets are unsightly as are just left willy nilly here there and everywhere and get blown into bushes over spare land etc., also when wet become lethal when stepped on. Over the past few years huge improvements have been to the area from Paloma beach all the way along the coast to and past La Caleta.,encouraging the tourist ,the islands life blood.to come not once but to return time and again.Don,t let them get put off by something easily rectified.Greg Whittle Apartment Owner.
