According to TravelSupermarket.com there has been a 19 per cent increase in families searching for some October sun and the Canary Islands are the favourite destination.
The on-line price comparison site puts the surge down to the wet summer and the Olympic effect which led to a surge in bookings for half-term breaks.
It says “Searching for holidays..” not buying them. No celebrating just yet methinks!
