A Canarian ER doctor talked a 112 caller through delivering a baby on Tuesday.
Father Agustín called to emergency services asking for help for his wife Janet who had given birth in the bathroom of their home in a remote area of Triquivijate, in the municipality of Antigua, Fuerteventura.
After confirming that it was an uncomplicated delivery, the doctor tried to keep Agustín calm and explained how he should cut the umbilical cord and what to do for mother and newborn until the ambulance could get there.
Both mum and baby Samuel Santana Cabrera were eventually transferred to Fuerteventura General Hospital where they are doing fine.
