The Canary Islands’ Met Office has announced the end of the yellow alert, put in place almost a week ago, because of high temperatures.
Weathermen say temperatures will return to normal for the time of the year today, (Wednesday), with clear skies in the south of the main islands and some cloud in the north.

A 41-year-old man collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack in Tenerife.
Emergency services were called to the scene in La Laguna, at around 7.30pm last night.
However, despite their best efforts to recusitate the victim, he was declared dead at the scene.
