Hindu Peace Festival at Playa de La Enramada 3 May

Tenerife South’s Hindu community will be holding the Festival of Peace on 3 May. Thanks to collaboration with Adeje Ayuntamiento, it is an official celebration being held at 7pm on La Enramada beach.  All are welcome.

This is the first time the festival will have been celebrated in Europe, and consists in calling on the holy river Ganges to bless one of India’s most important spiritual leaders, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji.

Events will start with typical Indian festival music, to be followed by children’s presentations dramatizing the arrival of the river Ganges to the Earth. Then the local Hindu community’s spirutual leader will give a short address and lead some chanting, before the blessing with the lighting of candles by all present.
