    Canary Workers Poorest Paid In Spain

    Workers in the Canary Islands are paid less than anywhere else in Spain.

    The average salary in the Canary Islands is 18,798 euros, compared to the national average of 22,329, according to the latest government report issued by the National Institute of Statistics.

    Perhaps not surprisingly, the highest wages are to be found in Madrid where the average annual salary is a little over 26,000 euros, a whopping 7,000 euros more than that in the Canaries.

      Much more than in Cyprus. My husband was working a 12 hour plus day 6 days a week and his salary was 800 euros a month! Disgusting money and the company he worked for was making loads with car rental.
