Ryanair Announces New Service Connecting Tenerife And Italy
Low cost carrier, Ryanair, has announced plans for a direct service from Tenerife to Milan, Italy.
The new service, due to begin on May 3 after much horse-trading between the airline and tour operators, has been greeted warmly by those in the tourist industry.
They have been complaining long and hard about the lack of a direct flight from Italy to the island, since Binter withdrew its service some years ago.
The new service will connect Tenerife’s south airport with Bergamo, around 45 km from Milan and will, initially, operate twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays, leaving Tenerife at 7am and landing in Italy at 10.30am.
As for cost, on Ryanair’s website yesterday, tickets for the inaugural flight could be had for 39.99 Euros, while for the rest of May, tickets vary between 39.99 Euros and 79.99 Euros.
