Canaries Celebrate International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is being celebrated across the world today, Monday March 8.
To mark the occasion, the Canary Islands’ Government have organised several events across the islands under the banner, “The Hour of Equality”.
One of the biggest events will take place in the Plaza Primero de Mayo, Santa Cruz, starting at 9.30, with stalls, music and art, as well as plenty of pamphlets and information.
