Lanzarote Nauty Boyz Record England World Cup Anthem
When they heard there was to be no official England World Cup song for the first time since 1966, a bunch of young musicians from Lanzarote decided to take matters into their own hands and record their own football anthem.
The Nauty Boyz are, lead singer Jordan, (the youngest member of the band), Michael on bass, Jake on guitar and Jordi on the drums and the sound they make is amazingly good for such young lads.
The band are a ‘punk’ outfit, aged between 12 and 15 who have recorded a really catchy song, “The Fans Won’t Let You Down”, written by Chris Ashley, father of the band’s drummer, Jordi.
The lads have entered the song in a competition, at www.worldcupsong.com and their effort has entered the English chart section at No. 26. Check out the song on You Tube by clicking below:
The winner of the competition will be the song, which has had the most hits on You Tube, when the first ball is kicked at the start of this year’s World Cup on July 11 at 8.30pm, so the lads are hoping for plenty of local support, especially seeing as there is a £1,000 prize
for the lucky winner.
So take a look for yourselves and lend your support for some really good local talent.
And don’t forget to spread the message to your friends, after all, that’s what friends, (and You Tube) are for.
