    Spain’s Bank Holiday Weekend Carnage

    Twenty-five people died on Spain’s roads over the long Bank Holiday weekend, which included Monday and Tuesday.

    Although tragic for those involved, in line with recent trends the number of fatalities were five fewer than over the same period last year.

    The long weekend included the marking of Constitution Day on Monday and the celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday.

    In all, 23 fatal accidents took place between 3pm Friday and 8pm on Tuesday, during which time Trafico estimate there were 6.2 million journeys made.

    Besides the 25 who died, there were a further 11 serious and 10 minor injuries reported, according to the latest report from Trafico.
