Rescued From Sea Off Gran Canaria

Four Germans, living in Gran Canaria, had to be rescued at dawn this morning after the engine broke down 19 miles from shore.

The crew sent out a distress call around midnight last night and were eventually towed into the safety of the marina in Las Palmas at around 4am this morning.

The four crewmen and their boat were rescued by the Marine rescue craft, the Salvamar Nunki and her crew, who transferred the occupants from the stricken craft to their own before towing the boat to port.
