More Immigrants On Tenerife This Morning
The steady stream of illegal immigrants arriving on the shores of the Canary Islands shows no sign of letting up as yet more arrived this morning.
A Cayuco carrying 70 people, including five under-18s, came ashore undetected at Los Abrigos, in San Miguel de Abona on Tenerife’s south coast around dawn this morning.
Emergency services and members of the Red Cross were quickly on the scene and reports say that the passengers, all male, appear to be in good health, apart from two who were transferred to the nearby medical centre.
