Vulture Attack At Wildlife Park
Two British women had to be rescued by an animal trainer after they were attacked by a vulture at the Jungle Park in the South of Tenerife.
Mary Corcoran and Teresa Largent, on holiday in Tenerife, were watching the birds of prey display at the park when, without warning, one of the vultures flew from its perch and attacked them.
Both women were injured in the attack, with Mary Corcoran needing hospital treatment.
An animal trainer intervened to save the women and fend the bird off. But as they were receiving treatment, the bird attacked again and had to be fought off by the trainer.
Teresa Largent received several puncture wounds to her stomach from the bird’s talons, while her companion suffered scratches all over her body.
