The National Police arrested a 27-year-old man accused of selling crack cocaine in Gran Canaria.
The accused is alleged to have taken short-term accommodation near the port in Las Palmas where he stored the drugs ready for sale to customers coming in by sea, hoping to go undetected in the sea of tourists.
Following his arrest, police searched his latest hideout and discovered 235 doses of crack cocaine, as well as tools for the preparation of the drug and a quantity of cash.
The man was remanded in custody pending a preliminary court appearance.
