Spain’s annual inflation fell for the fourth straight month in January, falling 0.4 per cent to stand at 2 per cent, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Institute (INE).
A spokesman said the fall was due mainly to the stability of electricity prices, which saw big increases during last year.
The current rate of 2 per cent is the lowest since August 2010 when it fell to 1.8 per cent.
